GRABŠTEJN WORLD FEST 2009

The seventh year of festival of alternative and world music and theatre in castle Grabštejn in Chotyně near Hrádek nad Nisou takes place from Friday the 4th September to Sunday the 6th September 2009.

The festival is situated in the beautiful area of an old castle on the Czech-German border. It is devoted to supporting and presenting noncommercial alternative and world music and theatre. As a part of the programme you find student film projection, different workshops and theatre performances for children.

The festival has a long history. From the beginning in 2003, a large number of various significant or less famous musicians and actors from the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary and France has presented their art performance within the layout of the festival.

GRABŠTEJN WORLD FEST represents an original type of a festival in the Czech Republic. Different dramaturgy, specific atmosphere and family feeling attracts around 500 visitors every year.
The refreshment is provided in the garden and in the cafe of the castle (food usually found in the festivals, vegetarian, tea room, bier Svijany ...)

Pets (dogs and other animals) are forbiden in the area of the castle itself.
